One of the cultural icons of our generation is to see the Chuck Taylor come into play on a couple’s very special day. The wedding day. Typically seen as part of the groomsman’s uniform, we received a message from a Photography company that had a very cool take on bringing Chuck Taylors to the ceremonious day.
Something that we have never seen during our search for Chuck Spotting, the tip we got was about custom monogrammed Chuck Taylors. Yes, weddings these days have their own logos and their own websites and in San Francisco might even have their own apps! There’s no doubt that SnapChat filters are a popular wedding decoration as well. Nonetheless, these Chuck Taylors are amongst the coolest we have been able to spot. And, what a beautiful shot of the rings intertwined to these gorgeous custom pair of chucks.
You can view more photos from the couple’s beautiful wedding celebration on the Photographer’s website, Red Eye Collection.
Congrats Ashley and Malorie! Special thanks to Red Eye Collective for the photo, check them out if you are in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Have you ever had to pick up a friend but was not sure of their exact location? How about on the other end of the spectrum where you’re being picked up by a friend but don’t know exactly where they’re at? There is a new app that just launched in Canada that is helping you do exactly that – know where your friends are at.
Pre lets you see exactly where your friends are – but not in a creepy way. Other apps always share your location or make it confusing to share your destination. Pre conveniently lets you send your close friends and family a destination and bonus: it has emojis 🎉.
You can check out Pre on the iOS app store. Looks like the app is currently launched in Canada. Be sure to snap photos of your Chuck Taylor sightings using the app! #chuckspotting
The Converse Essentials line was announced earlier this year. We caught a glimpse of the shop opening in Berlin, Germany.
The Essentials, a Fall 2016 collection bears some of the classics that have been a staple in Converse and American design/apparel. They claim that the essentials line “becomes even softer with each wear”. The collection, with the FRAGMENT label includes t-shirts, hoodies, and more.
Personally, I am a big fan of the classics and the Essentials line so this is something that I will be splurging on! Looking forward to a warm and cozy holiday season with this new line.
So we’ve all heard about the “worn” look on any Converse Chuck Taylor All Star sneaker, but how do you get that clean cut look that’s just enough rough and also looks great with your best pair of slacks?
The answer is hand-dying them. That’s what Tenue de Nimes does and you can get your very own pair.
This is by far the best look we’ve seen with the freshness of a new pair of shoes but the worn out look to show that your Chucks have character. The best part about it is that you can rough them up and add your own stories to these pari of beautiful sneaks, and the stylized colorations will remain.
We give these Chucks 10/10 for their beauty, artistic style, and it’s just a damn good story to say that your Chucks were hand dyed. But, with everything great in life, it comes with a hefty price tag.
The ABA Journal celebrates innovation within the legal profession and gave each of this year’s Legal Rebel winners a pair of custom Chucks as a wearable symbol of nonconformity.
More lawyers should wear Chucks. The Chuckverse team spotted this article through user feedback. An interesting array of Chuck wearing Laywers. Whether it brings about the symbolism of nonconformity? Let’s get the Jury on that one! In any case, we think more lawyers should wear Chucks.
